The new Hippocratic oath (Declaration of Geneva, 2017) adopted by the World Medical Association recognises the role that physician self-care plays in improving patient care. The pledge states, “I will attend to my own health, well-being, and abilities in order to provide care of the highest standard”. The pledge is relevant to all helping professions.
Helping The Helpers
Helping professionals need specific tools to maintain their wellbeing. Wellbeing Aotearoa has half and full-day workshops, supervision, and coaching that provides concrete tools and strategies to survive and thrive as a helping professional.
Wellbeing Aotearoa honours Dr Robin Youngson’s call to bring hearts into healthcare because after all, He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.
